Simon Fanshawe is a talented guy. He’s a writer, broadcaster, non-exec director, social activist and more. He is based in Brighton but works across the UK. Because of this diversity, it’s previously been a challenge for him to clearly promote his professional services. Our new website design needed to better communicate his services.
We created a navigation that was a straightforward signposting of Simon’s range of professional traits. The design is easy to navigate, looks professional and friendly, just like Simon.
In order to make it easier to understand what he could do for an organisation, each page has a bold call to action on the top of each page (i.e.: ‘If you’d like Simon to work with you as a non-exec director…’, or ‘If you want Simon to create or appear in radio programmes…’).
The website design includes Simon’s extensive blog posts and social media updates. New blog posts or tweets automatically appear on the home page to keep the design website feeling fresh. It’s built on a WordPress content management system so it’s easy for him to update himself.
The feedback we got from Simon was great:
“Russell [compoundEye design director] did a terrific job at finding out exactly what I wanted in style and functionality. He delivered a website that not only I like but so do all the people that I work with. And he was really happy and relaxed about re-working aspects of the site to get it just right. So you can make up your own mind, it’s www.simonfanshawe.com.”
