Working with some of the same folks behind Autoheart, we created a logo for their new O/R Records label. The name comes from the singer Jody’s parents, Olive and Russ. The shortened moniker takes on a bold, stylised approach.
Inspired in parts by Paul Rand, 1970s modernism and 1990s dance labels, the new logo aims to belong somewhere between those influences and the present day digital/analogue music world. The design can work as a tiny browser icon, punctuate the back of a vinyl album, and it looks sharp on a t-shirt.
