Educational publisher Richmond has a brand called Richmond Mazes. This is series of apps and printed books that give students a challenging and fun way to improve their English. Each story gives the reader options, allowing them to steer the story to different outcomes.
We were asked to create a logo for the series. Part of the brief was to come up with a design that would feel at home in the world of video games. The client also hoped it complemented the existing Richmond logo.
Our approach was to make a mark which referenced the different choices in the stories — so we created a multi-coloured, sectionalised logo. Like the main company logo, we also used a stylised R appears in the middle, forming walls of a ‘maze’.
